The first clip from Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall has been released, giving fans an extended look at Batman’s violent confrontation with Bane.

The footage opens with Batman entering a dark room as Bane waits for him inside. Their meeting quickly turns into a physical battle, with Bane using his size and strength to overpower the Dark Knight.

Batman attempts to keep the fight under control by relying on speed, timing and close-range attacks. Bane remains calm throughout the exchange, absorbing Batman’s strikes and steadily forcing him onto the defensive.

The clip shows how differently the two characters approach combat. Batman moves quickly and searches for openings, while Bane fights with patience and overwhelming force. Every hit makes it clearer that Batman is facing an opponent who has studied him and understands how to wear him down.

Batman: Knightfall Part 1 adapts the opening chapter of DC’s Knightfall storyline. The story begins after Bane frees Gotham’s criminals from Arkham Asylum, forcing Batman to fight through his entire Rogues Gallery while becoming increasingly exhausted.

Bane’s plan is not simply to defeat Batman in one fight. He intends to weaken him physically and mentally before confronting him at his most vulnerable.

Anson Mount voices Bruce Wayne and Batman, while Michael Mando voices Bane. Pablo Schreiber stars as Jean-Paul Valley, the character who eventually becomes involved in the battle for Batman’s identity.

The film is directed by Jeff Wamester and written by Jeremy Adams. It is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall releases digitally on August 25, 2026. The 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD editions arrive on September 8.
