Netflix has released the first trailer for LEGO One Piece, revealing a brick-built retelling of the Straw Hat Pirates’ biggest adventures.

The animated special follows Usopp as he tells Tony Tony Chopper about the crew’s journey before the young reindeer joined them. As expected from the Straw Hats’ famously unreliable storyteller, Usopp’s version appears to exaggerate his own bravery and importance along the way.

The trailer recreates familiar characters, ships, battles and locations from the first two seasons of Netflix’s live-action One Piece series using LEGO animation.

Monkey D. Luffy, Nami, Roronoa Zoro, Sanji and Usopp are shown aboard the Going Merry as the special revisits the crew’s travels across the East Blue and into the Grand Line.

Netflix describes LEGO One Piece as a two-part animated special filled with comedy, action and exaggerated storytelling. The project is designed to offer longtime fans a playful new version of the story while also introducing new viewers to the Straw Hat crew.

The special is produced in partnership with the LEGO Group, Japanese publisher Shueisha and animation studio Atomic Cartoons.

Tom Hyndman serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer. One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda is also an executive producer alongside representatives from LEGO and Tomorrow Studios.

LEGO One Piece will premiere worldwide on Netflix on September 29, 2026.
