A24 has released the first official trailer for Misty Green, a new drama written and directed by Chris Rock.

Rosalind Eleazar stars as Misty Green, a talented actress whose career has stalled years after her Hollywood breakthrough. When a director from her past offers her a role in a new project, Misty receives an opportunity to fight for her second act.

The trailer follows Misty as she attempts to rebuild her professional life while confronting difficult relationships and personal struggles that could threaten her comeback.

Chris Rock also appears in the film as a person from Misty’s past. The cast includes Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick, Topher Grace, Anthony Anderson, Kelli Garner, Amy Landecker, Rich Sommer and Tracie Thoms.

Misty Green marks Rock’s return to feature-film directing after Top Five, which was released in 2014. He also wrote and directed Head of State and I Think I Love My Wife.

The film is scheduled to premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival in September. A24 plans to release Misty Green in theaters in October 2026.
