DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures have released a new official trailer for Clayface, offering a deeper look at the body-horror origin story of one of Gotham City’s most unsettling villains.

Tom Rhys Harries stars as Matt Hagen, a rising actor whose successful career is destroyed after a local crime boss leaves him severely disfigured. Abandoned by the people around him, Matt turns to an experimental treatment that initially appears to restore his former appearance.

The procedure soon produces horrifying side effects. Matt’s face and body become unstable and clay-like, allowing him to reshape his appearance while gradually losing control of his identity and grip on reality.

The trailer presents Clayface as a tragic horror story rather than a traditional superhero adventure. The film explores identity, revenge, destructive relationships and the dangerous consequences of scientific ambition.

Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan also star, alongside Nancy Carroll and Joshua James.

James Watkins directs Clayface from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, based on a story by Flanagan. Matt Reeves, Lynn Harris, James Gunn and Peter Safran serve as producers.

Clayface will be released internationally beginning October 21, 2026, before opening in North American theaters on October 23.
