Respawn Entertainment is developing a third Star Wars Jedi game that will conclude the story of Cal Kestis.
Electronic Arts confirmed the project during its 2024 Investor Day presentation, describing the upcoming game as the final chapter of Cal’s journey. It will follow Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, completing the series as a trilogy.
The Star Wars Jedi series began with Fallen Order in 2019. The game introduced Cal as a former Jedi Padawan attempting to survive under the Galactic Empire after escaping Order 66.
His story continued in Jedi: Survivor, which took place five years later and followed a more experienced Cal as he searched for a safe future for those being hunted by the Empire.
Survivor ended with several major changes for Cal and his allies, leaving the next game with unresolved questions surrounding Tanalorr, the Hidden Path, Kata Akuna and Cal’s growing struggle with the dark side of the Force.
EA previously said that more than 40 million players had connected with Cal’s story across the first two games. The company said Respawn was working to bring the final chapter of that story to players.
The third game has not received an official title, trailer, release date or confirmed platform list. Story and gameplay details also remain under wraps.
Respawn Entertainment will once again lead development in collaboration with Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm Games.
