Mortal Kombat II is officially coming to HBO Max on Friday, July 24.
Warner Bros. Discovery announced that the New Line Cinema sequel will make its global streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max. The movie will then premiere on the HBO television channel on Saturday, July 25 at 8 p.m. ET.
The sequel brings Earthrealm’s fighters into the Mortal Kombat tournament while introducing Karl Urban as Johnny Cage. Returning cast members include Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Hiroyuki Sanada, Joe Taslim, Josh Lawson and Chin Han. New additions include Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade and Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn.
HBO Max will also release an American Sign Language version of the film on the same day. That version features ASL interpretation by Justin Perez and was directed by Rosa Lee Timm.
Mortal Kombat II previously became available to buy or rent digitally on June 9. Its Blu-ray, DVD and 4K UHD release is scheduled for July 28.
