Focus Features has released the first official trailer for The Uprising, an upcoming historical drama written and directed by Paul Greengrass.

Andrew Garfield stars as a grieving farmer who becomes an unlikely leader during the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381. After oppressive taxes and growing injustice push England’s working class to its breaking point, he helps form an army of ordinary people prepared to challenge the rule of King Richard II.

The film also stars Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller, Woody Norman, Katherine Waterston, and Sky Yang.

The Uprising arrives in theaters on September 11, 2026.
