Springfield is returning to Fortnite Reload on July 30 with an expanded player count, returning Simpsons content and a new John Wick-themed gameplay system.

The updated Springfield map will support 50 players instead of Reload’s previous 40-player limit, creating more crowded drops and faster battles across the compact location.

Springfield will temporarily control the Reload map rotation by itself until August 3. Elite Stronghold and Slurp Rush will then return to the rotation.

One of the largest additions is The Confidential, a new point of interest inspired by the Continental hotel from the John Wick franchise.

The Confidential operates as a neutral zone where players cannot use weapons or attack one another.

Players receive passive healing while inside the building, and proximity chat is enabled so nearby opponents can communicate.

Breaking the rules immediately marks the offending player as excommunicado.

An excommunicado player receives unlimited stamina and faster reload speeds, but becomes a visible target for everyone in the match.

Only one player can hold the excommunicado status at a time. Eliminating that player rewards 1,500 Gold and improved loot.

John Wick and Homer Simpson also appear as non-player characters around the updated map.

Players can find John Wick at The Confidential, while Homer appears near the starter area and can reportedly track a player through the location.

A new Reload Portable Extractor can summon a John Wick Sprite. The Sprite reveals nearby enemies to its owner and the rest of their squad.

Players who complete the associated Reload quests while owning the current Battle Pass can unlock a Simpsonified John Wick cosmetic style beginning July 30.

Several weapons from Fortnite’s previous Simpsons crossover also return.

The returning loot includes the Super Squishee, Cobalt Slingshot, Mr. Blasty, Krusty’s Mr. Blasty, Five-Gun, Doomsday Application, Blinky Fish, Krusty Burger and Cartoon Chainsaw.

The update also introduces the Tactical Assault Rifle as a new weapon.

Several quality-of-life improvements are included. Players can re-open chests, and eliminated teammates earn additional progress toward returning to the match.

Springfield originally appeared during Fortnite’s Simpsons season and used a cel-shaded visual style inspired by the animated television series.

Its smaller layout and recognizable locations now return as part of Reload’s faster elimination and reboot structure.

Springfield Reload arrives July 30 through Fortnite update v41.30.
