The sales-chart result was shared by NiteFadeOfficial, with the PlayStation Store listing shown ahead of several other major releases.
The achievement marks a major moment for Microsoft’s long-running science-fiction franchise because Campaign Evolved is the first mainline Halo game released on a PlayStation console.
Halo was historically one of Xbox’s most important exclusive series, beginning with Halo: Combat Evolved on the original Xbox in 2001.
Campaign Evolved rebuilds that original adventure with modern graphics, updated cinematics, refined controls and additional gameplay features.
The remake includes the original ten-mission campaign alongside Operation: METEORITE, a new three-mission story featuring Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson.
Players can experience the campaign alone, through two-player split-screen cooperative play on consoles or with up to four players through online co-op.
Cross-play and cross-progression are supported across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, allowing players on different systems to complete the campaign together.
The PlayStation 5 version also supports DualSense controller features and has been enhanced for PlayStation 5 Pro.
Its reported position at the top of the PlayStation Store suggests strong early interest from PlayStation players experiencing Halo on their platform for the first time.
Microsoft has not publicly announced exact PlayStation sales figures, so the chart position should not be treated as confirmation of a specific number of copies sold.
Halo: Campaign Evolved launched worldwide on July 28, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It is also available through Game Pass on supported Xbox and PC platforms.
