Call of Duty: Black Ops II has climbed to the top of the US PlayStation activity chart following the release of its new PS4 and PS5 versions.

According to Circana’s Player Engagement Tracker, Black Ops II was the most-played game on PlayStation in the United States for the week ending July 18, 2026.

The ranking is based on total weekly active users rather than game sales or concurrent player counts.

Black Ops II moved from sixth place during the previous week to first, overtaking Fortnite, which dropped to second place.

NBA 2K26 ranked third, followed by Roblox in fourth and Grand Theft Auto V Remastered in fifth.

The broader Call of Duty application ranked sixth, while the original Call of Duty: Black Ops placed eighth. That gave the franchise three positions inside the US PlayStation top 10.

Marvel Rivals ranked seventh, Minecraft placed ninth and EA Sports College Football 27 completed the chart in tenth place.

The result highlights the continuing popularity of Black Ops II more than a decade after its original 2012 release. Its multiplayer, Zombies mode, maps and progression system remain among the most recognized parts of the Call of Duty franchise.

The recently released PlayStation versions have introduced the game to current console players while also bringing back longtime fans who played the original release.

Circana’s chart does not provide individual player totals, but the first-place ranking shows that Black Ops II attracted more weekly active users than every other tracked PlayStation game in the United States during that period.

Activision has not announced how long the current level of activity is expected to continue, but the strong launch demonstrates the demand that remains for older Call of Duty titles on modern consoles.
