Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is preparing to bring elemental combat to consoles and PC on July 23, 2026.
The fast-paced 2D fighting game features characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, allowing players to battle using air, water, earth and fire-based abilities.
The launch roster includes 12 playable fighters drawn from across the Avatar universe. Confirmed characters include Aang, Korra, Zuko, Katara, Toph and Sokka, with additional fighters planned through post-launch content.
Every character has a distinct fighting style inspired by their personality, martial-arts techniques and elemental abilities from the animated series.
The game uses hand-drawn 2D animation designed to preserve the visual identity and expressive movement of the original shows.
Its combat system includes a movement-focused Flow mechanic that allows players to dash, evade attacks and reposition themselves during battle. Players can also build Energy Points to enhance special moves and activate powerful cinematic Super Arts.
Support characters can accompany the main fighter and provide additional abilities during matches, opening new possibilities for team combinations and strategies.
Avatar Legends includes offline and online versus modes, a single-player story campaign, arcade mode, training, combo trials, spectator features, replays and an art gallery.
Online matches support rollback netcode and cross-platform play, allowing players on supported systems to compete against one another with smoother network performance.
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game launches July 23, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
