Fortnite’s Shiny Hours event is giving players two limited windows to hunt rare Sprite variants and experience several Batman-themed gameplay bonuses.
Shiny Hours takes place on July 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET, followed by a second session from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
During both sessions, Gold, Gummy, Galaxy and Holofoil Sprite variants will appear more frequently across the Battle Royale Island.
Every player will also begin matches with a Batman Grapnel Gun and a Self-Revive Device, giving squads immediate access to mobility and an additional chance to recover after being knocked.
Batman Sprites and Batman Beach Buggies will spawn more often throughout the event. Batman Sprites allow players to deploy the Bat Cape while airborne and increase the chance of finding rare Sprites inside chests.
Players attempting to complete their Sprite collection should extract any rare variants they find before being eliminated. Finding a Sprite does not permanently add it to the collection unless it is successfully extracted.
Shiny Hours schedule:
Round 1: July 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET
Round 2: July 18 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET
Players in Mountain Time can join from noon to 2 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The boosted appearance rates only remain active during these scheduled sessions.
