Fortnite players can now use the default Dane Sidekick for free, with new Sidekick-focused UEFN experiences arriving next week.
The default Dane Sidekick is now available in Fortnite.
Every player has access to Dane for free, giving everyone a chance to try out the Sidekick system without buying anything from the Item Shop.
Epic Games is also preparing new UEFN experiences built around Sidekicks. These experiences are expected to launch next week and will let players interact with their companions in new ways.
Dane gives players an early look at how Sidekicks could become part of more Fortnite experiences going forward.
