Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have officially announced a Top Gun crossover for Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC.

The limited-time collaboration arrives on August 18 as part of Battlefield 6 Season 4 and introduces a new collection of aircraft, characters, modes, cosmetics, and event challenges inspired by Paramount’s Top Gun franchise.

Players will be able to fly two new two-seat fighter jets, including aircraft inspired by the F/A-18 Super Hornet and the F-14 Tomcat.

The crossover will also feature Top Gun characters voiced by their original performers, allowing players to form a new themed squad during the event.

Two new aerial-combat experiences are included. One focuses entirely on aircraft survival and dogfighting, while the other challenges teams to attack, board, and destroy an enemy aircraft carrier.

Wake Island will also return to Battlefield 6 multiplayer alongside the crossover, rebuilt with naval combat, aircraft-carrier operations, and large-scale beach assaults.

Battlefield 6 Season 4 begins on July 21, while the Top Gun event launches on August 18.
